Tours Galore at The Old House Fair

* Sidewalks of South Park (free) walking tour, 11am.
* Urban Safari Walking Tour (free), 2pm.
* Trolley Tours of Golden Hill and South Park ($5, kids free). 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30. Board at Grant's (Dale & Beech).
* Historic Home Tour ($15), 10:30am-4pm, see below. Tickets available for advance purchase at Studio Maureen (open Wed.-Sun. from noon to 5pm).

Historic Homes Tour, $15

This annual highlight tour features visits to five historic houses, where docents will conduct tours -- historic architecture, design, gardens and more. Homes open from 11am to 4pm. Buy tickets (required) in advance at Studio Maureen (619-233-6679) or at Old House Fair Info Booth on Beech & 30th on June 20th.

SOHO's Ask The Experts

Learn all about owning or living in an old house. SOHO San Diego (Save Our Heritage Organisation) will offer an "Ask The Experts" booth throughout the day, where architects, research historians, restorationists, and best practice advocacy experts will be on hand to answer questions and provide leads for old house owners.

SOHO San Diego will also lead free seminars at 12noon, 1:30 and 3pm. For a full schedule, sign up for our email newsletter.

1.30 pm: "How do I get my own South Park (or other Neighborhood) Historic District?" Free seminar by Allen Hazard
of Mission Hills.

Urban Safari Walking Tour, 2pm

Patty Fares will lead a one-hour Urban Safari walking tour of the immediate South Park neighborhood. Meet her at 2:00 in front of the information booth for a walk covering history, architecture, local lore, and upcoming South Park events. Only by walking do you get a chance to notice the finer points of a neighborhood. Join me for a walk through time. Special for The Old House Fair -- this Urban Safari tour is free. Trolley Tours

Enjoy a narrated 45-minute trolley tour around the interesting historic neighborhoods of South Park and Golden Hill. Board the trolley at Grant's Marketplace at the corner of Beech and Dale St. 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30. Just $5 for adults, free for kids.
